VEGAMIP T61

Description

The VEGAMIP T61 is the emitting/receiving unit of the microwave barrier for level detection of bulk solids and liquids. Typical applications are the detection of bulk solids in silos, bunkers and crushers as well as of liquids in tubes and vessels. The non-contact measuring principle has no direct contact to the medium and guarantees wear and maintenance-free permanent operation.

Application area

Transmitting unit of the microwave barrier. To be used with a receiving unit of type VEGAMIP R61 or 62.

Your benefit

  • Separate instrument version enables mounting in installation positions difficult to access
  • Reliable measurement even with very abrasive products
  • Reliable measurement even with changing product features

Truck loading

Dust-free, closed loading systems are needed for fine aggregates and finished products such as cement. Automated loading of trucks is preferred in the industry and, while the load quantity is determined with a weighing system, it must be ensured that the truck is in the correct place and not overfilled. Reliable point level detection and vehicle positioning shortens loading times, increases throughput and improves the efficiency of the entire system.

Incinerator feed chute

After the crane system lifts the waste from the waste bunker and drops it to the feed chute, in the lower part of the chute, a hydraulic piston pushes the waste onto the combustion grate. It is important that waste in the chute is always at an optimal level and uniformly distributed. This prevents air from leaking into the furnace and ensures a constant supply of fuel for combustion. For that reason the minimum level in the feed chute has to be monitored and the resulting data displayed to the crane operator.

Coke silo

Coke is often stored in very tall silos. Coke product is also susceptible to plugging the chute as the vessel empties. To accurately measure and monitor the level in these silos, especially during fill/empty stages, the instrumentation must be able to perform reliably, even under these conditions.

Crusher

The large boulders are extracted from the solid bedrock with blasting. This very first stage in the process is needed to enable these very large rocks to be crushed by smaller, secondary jaw and roller crushers, which create the smaller sizes for screening to produce the basic building materials like gravel, grit or sand. To enable efficient, continuous operation and keep wear on the crusher as low as possible, level measurement and point level detection are required.
