VEGABAR 82 (Secondary Sensor)

Description

The VEGABAR 82 secondary sensor is combined with a sensor from the VEGABAR 80 series to produce an electronic differential pressure measurement. The unit is suitable for the measurement of differential pressure and level with superimposed pressure or vacuum, flow, density or interface. It can easily measure a variety of gases, vapors and liquids. Substances such as sand can be handled easily thanks to the abrasion-resistant ceramic measuring cell. The VEGABAR 82 secondary sensor offers maximum reliability. The transmitter can be used in all industries. The simple connection of VEGABAR series 80 sensors as electronic differential pressure opens new possibilities for the measurement of differential pressures.

Application area

Universally applicable pressure transmitter. The ceramic measuring cell is resistant to temperature shocks. Can be combined with any other sensor of VEGABAR Series 80 for electronic differential pressure measurement.

Your benefit

  • Low maintenance costs thanks to wear-free ceramic measuring cell
  • High plant availability through maximum overload and vacuum resistance of the ceramic measuring cell
  • Measurement down to the last drop through smallest measuring ranges with high accuracy

The robust, all-round pressure sensor with ceramic measuring cell

The pressure sensor VEGABAR 82 is the robust all-rounder with an innovative flush mounted ceramic measuring cell that VEGA manufactures itself, as a full-range supplier of pressure instrumentation. A real highlight: the ceramic pressure sensor is resistant to thermal shock. The versatile standard instrument handles temperatures up to 150° C. The extremely high overload factor of 200 is unique to the market. This pressure sensor covers 80% of all applications in the process industry. With its oil-free ceramic CERTEC® measuring cell it is well equipped for use in all areas of industry:

  • Monitoring of feed pressure in sewage pipelines
  • Overload-resistant level and gauge pressure measurement in pressurized batch vessels
  • Level measurement of paper pulp level in bleaching towers, to protect against dry-run damage to the discharge pumps
  • Monitoring of negative pressure in distillation columns (down to absolute vacuum)
