Ever wonder who’s behind the scenes, providing crucial sales support and expert advice for our sensor applications? Meet Michael Alexander, an application engineer on the sensors team who has been enhancing our internal sales operations for the past year. Let’s get to know the man who brings enthusiasm and expertise to our team.
Originally from Seattle, WA, Michael now resides in Birmingham, AL, where he’s hopefully on the brink of engagement! At BBP, Michael plays a vital role on the Sensors team, providing quotes and sales support for the Account Managers in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.
What does Michael enjoy most about his role? It’s the team! Michael appreciates the camaraderie and mutual support within the Sensors crew, where everyone collaborates and assists each other behind the scenes.
Michael is proud to work at BBP because of the opportunity the company provided him to break into the industry and the rapid training that has allowed him to expand his knowledge swiftly. For Michael, BBP is all about growth, Louisiana roots, and fairness.
Here’s a fun fact about Michael: he’s musically talented and plays multiple instruments, including guitar, drums, and piano. His favorite quote, “Life is a series of commas, not periods,” by Matthew McConaughey, reflects his outlook on life’s continuous journey.
Michael’s personal mantra, “If you quit once, it becomes a habit. Don’t quit!” drives his persistence and determination. Looking back, he wishes he had left his hometown sooner, as doing so helped him blaze his own path and realize his independence.
For his dream dinner party, Michael would invite Michael Jordan, Matthew McConaughey, Steph Curry, and Noah Kahan—quite a diverse and fascinating group!
If Michael’s life had a theme song, it would be “Love It If We Made It” by The 1975. His eclectic taste in music spans Pop, Country, and Indie, but he genuinely loves most genres and is always open to new recommendations.
For prospective BBP employees, Michael offers this advice: “Just be open to learning what your role entails, get your product knowledge up, and be looking for ways to increase your value to your BBP team as a whole. Since we are always growing, new positions or titles will come when jobs are created internally!”
In summary, Michael Alexander embodies BBP’s core values of growth, collaboration, and determination. His dedication, musical talents, and positive outlook make him a vital part of our team, contributing to the dynamic and supportive environment that defines BBP.
