What is your role at BBP?
I am currently at our Process Automation Center in Birmingham, AL where I play a key role in our warehouse operations. For me, a typical day consists of assembling and automating valves, building panels, wiring, fabricating and programming. Most importantly, I manage warehouse inventory which involves doing cycle counts, reporting shortages and transferring inventory to appropriate locations.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
I love that every day brings a new challenge. Like everyone else on the team, I wear many hats in addition to normal duties and responsibilities. It helps keep the days from being monotonous. My favorite part about my job is assembling panels and wiring. I also enjoy getting to go out to the field for shutdowns. In those situations, I get to hone in on my problem-solving skills by running tests to identify issues.
What makes you proud to work at BBP?
Our values and the fact that BBP takes cares of its employees. In any situation where you need assistance, people will go out of their way to help you including management. It’s been nice to work for a company that is down to earth.
