In our new blog series, “Employee Spotlight”, you’ll meet BBP employees, learn about their background and roles, and discover what they like most about working at BBP.

Name:  Jared Boss

Title: Account Manager

City of Residence: Richmond, VA

Hometown: I was born in Washington State but I don’t really have a hometown; I was a Navy brat growing up so I moved a lot.

Family Status: Married with a cat named Mickey.

What is your role at BBP? To support and work cohesively with plants, engineering firms and OEMs in Virginia. As well as introduce BBP to those who have not worked with us yet.

How long have you been in the industry? About 4 years

What do you enjoy most about your role? That I can make an impact when I go to sites. Whether that’s finding a solution for them, making their jobs easier, seeing a project from start to finish. My grandfather was an instrument tech and then maintenance manager at a paper mill, so it’s nice to support those in the same role he was.

What makes you proud to work at BBP? BBP truly cares about their employees. I am blessed to find a company like this so early into my career. They are willing to do whatever it takes for both you and the customer.

What are 3 words to describe BBP? Motivating, Collaborative, Trusting

What is something that most people do not know about you? I am a horror movie junkie.

What is your favorite quote? “If everything seems under control, you aren’t going fast enough” -Mario Andretti

Motto or Personal Mantra: Rome wasn’t built in a day

If I could do it all over again, I would: Start golfing at a young age. I started golfing 2 years ago and am trying to break 100.

Which four individuals, living or dead, would you like to eat dinner with the most? Joe Rogan, Tim Tebow, Matthew McConaughey, Kevin Hart

If your life had a theme song, what would it be?  “It’s a great day to be alive” Travis Tritt

Well what type of music do you listen to? Country, Christian, R&B but most of the time I am listening to podcasts.

What advice do you have for prospective BBP employees? Be ready to work hard and trust the process. Working in sales is at times demanding, however, it’s extremely rewarding. You get back what you put into it. That’s personally why I like working in this industry. Your motivation dictates how successful you will be.
