Meet James Strong, the Accounts Payable Clerk at BBP, who’s been expertly managing our vendor relationships and financial obligations since November 2022. Let’s get to know the man who balances precision and passion with a touch of culinary flair.
James hails from Greenbrier, TN, and currently resides in Goodlettsville. He is married with three amazing children—ages 7, 4, and one due in July 2024—and brings a strong sense of family values and dedication to his role at BBP.
So, what’s James’s unique role at BBP? He’s the key player responsible for maintaining healthy relationships with our vendors, ensuring bills are adequately reviewed and promptly paid within agreed terms, along with various other responsibilities within the Accounting team. James thrives on the opportunities to learn and retain new information, new processes, and new ways to accomplish goals and overcome limitations.
What makes James proud to work at BBP? It’s a supportive working environment where everyone wants you to succeed and will help you along the way, regardless of their job title or prior obligations.
When you ask James for three words to describe BBP, he sums it up perfectly: Determined, Accomplished, Trustworthy.
Here’s a fun fact about James: he has a love for cooking that most people might not know about. His favorite quote, “Yours is the light by which my spirit’s born: – you are my sun, my moon, and all my stars.” by E.E. Cummings, speaks volumes about his appreciation for the people in his life.
James’s personal mantra, “Question everything,” reflects his inquisitive nature and drive for continuous improvement. Looking back, he wishes he had appreciated all the quality time he had with his dad more—a poignant reminder of the importance of cherishing family moments.
If James could round up a dream team for dinner, he’d choose his dad, Hugh Jackman, Nick Saban, and Patrick Swayze. Now, that’s a dinner party for the ages!
