We are introducing Ericka Freeman, the dedicated and collaborative leader of our Accounts Receivable Team at BBP.
Meet Ericka Freeman, our Accounting Team Lead. With over 25 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Ericka brings a wealth of expertise to BBP, honed through roles in healthcare billing, B2B supply chains, and now manufacturing AR. In her role, she oversees the overall accounts receivable collection process, ensuring both internal and external customer inquiries are resolved while supporting her team’s growth and success.
Ericka calls Middleburg, Florida, home, though she hails from Philadelphia. Outside of work, she is a proud grandmother, affectionately called “MeMe,” to four grandchildren—one boy and three girls—who bring her endless joy.
In her role, Ericka thrives on the collaborative nature of her work. She enjoys partnering with different teams to resolve inquiries that drive growth and success at BBP. “It’s never a dull day, and you can count on anyone for support and knowledge to get the task done,” she says.
Ericka is most proud to work at BBP because of the company’s values of Like, Trust, and Commitment. “I feel like this is a place where I belong,” she shares. “BBP fosters an environment where I can continue learning while sharing my knowledge, all within a supportive and collaborative team.”
Ericka describes BBP with three words: innovative, resilient, and collaborative. These qualities reflect her experience at BBP, where teamwork and forward-thinking solutions are celebrated.
Here’s something you might not know about Ericka: she has participated in several small stage performances and sees life as a lot like theater. “Life is busy, messy, and full of unexpected delights. At the end of the show, you’re amazed at the outcome. Life is what you make it—let’s make it wonderful!”
Her favorite quotes include “Don’t be like me, be better than me” and “The end justifies the means.” As a grandmother, mother, and friend, Ericka sees every day as an opportunity to grow and succeed, embracing life’s winding roads with grace and determination. Her personal mantra, rooted in her faith, is from 2 Timothy 2:15: “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved.”
If Ericka could do it all over again, she wouldn’t trade her journey. “Life’s unseen adventures have made it a fruitful and amazing roller coaster ride,” she reflects. For her dream dinner, Ericka would invite her grandmother Ethel, her father Lafayette, Luther Vandross, and Zora Neale Hurston—an inspiring group sure to spark meaningful conversations. Her life’s theme song, I’ll Be There by the Jackson 5, perfectly captures her nurturing and supportive nature.
Ericka’s advice for prospective BBP employees is simple: “Bring your best self, an open mind, and a spirit of collaboration.
