In July, we interviewed BBP’s General Industries Manager, Andrew Lackey, about what it takes to be a member of the BBP team.

What is your role at BBP? Sales and Sales Enablement. I work with the sales team to connect existing and new customers with the many products, services, and solutions BBP has to offer. I am also here to help grow our focus and our market share in the industries of food and beverage processing, pharmaceutical, OEM, Water and Wastewater, and general industrial manufacturing.
How long have you been in the industry? About 9 years
What do you enjoy most about your role? I enjoy working face to face with customers to create solutions to problems, together. I really enjoy the relationships and friendships created with teammates and customers alike.
What makes you proud to work at BBP? Our company culture of enthusiasm. I’m proud to work with the inside sales, technical support, operations, and engineering teams to “make things happen” for customers. Our ability to collaborate effectively and deliver on promises, makes me proud to work here.
What are 3 words to describe BBP? Responsive, keen, teamwork
What is something that most people do not know about you? I’m a Marine Corps Veteran.
What is your favorite quote? “You only get one turn on this ride. Don’t worry about the things you cannot control, and put everything into the things you can, and live like you mean it.”

What advice do you have for prospective BBP employees? Work to have a positive impact on your associates and your customers. Take ownership of your objectives and remember we are all here to help solve customer process challenges as quickly and as effectively as possible. Do what’s right, not what is easy. Don’t forget to have fun.
