For Andrew Verret, building relationships is about more than just business. As an Account Manager for the Gulf Coast at BBP, Andrew believes the strongest customer connections are built through genuine conversations, trust, and a commitment to helping others succeed. With 13.5 years of experience in instrumentation and the chemical industry, including 7.5 years at BBP, Andrew has made those principles a central part of his career.

Based in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Andrew supports customers throughout Southwest Louisiana by providing solutions for challenging applications and helping improve their day-to-day operations. One of the things he enjoys most about his role is finding ways to make customers’ jobs easier and more efficient. Whether he’s troubleshooting a difficult application or introducing a new solution, Andrew finds satisfaction in knowing his work makes a difference.

What makes Andrew proud to work at BBP is the people he works alongside every day. He appreciates being surrounded by knowledgeable coworkers who not only excel in their roles but also contribute to his own professional growth. For Andrew, BBP’s collaborative environment is what makes the company stand out. He believes the values of Like, Trust, and Commitment are more than just words and are genuinely reflected in how employees work together and support their customers.

Andrew takes those values beyond the workplace by building relationships that extend past business conversations. He enjoys connecting with customers on a personal level, whether that means celebrating their successes, supporting them through challenges, or simply running into them at school events, ball fields, or around town. For him, getting to know people and building meaningful connections is one of the most rewarding parts of his career.

Originally from Sulphur, Louisiana, Andrew now lives in Lake Charles with his wife, Bethany, and their two children, Graham and Mila. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and has an interesting athletic background that might surprise his coworkers. Although he was recruited to play college football, Andrew ended up spending two years as a cheerleader at Southeastern Louisiana University.

Andrew’s favorite quote comes from philosopher Søren Kierkegaard: “To venture causes anxiety, but not to venture is to lose oneself… And to venture in the highest is precisely to be conscious of oneself.” The quote reflects the importance of taking chances, embracing challenges, and continuing to grow.

His personal mantra, “This too shall pass,” offers a reminder to keep perspective through life’s challenges. Looking back, Andrew says he would have taken education and intellectual growth more seriously while taking life a little less seriously. It’s a perspective that reflects his appreciation for both personal development and enjoying the journey along the way.

Music is another part of Andrew’s personality. He primarily enjoys Texas country but listens to just about anything depending on his mood. If his life had a theme song, it would be Tracy Lawrence’s “Find Out Who Your Friends Are,” a fitting choice for someone who places so much importance on relationships and the people around him.

When asked who he would most like to share a dinner with, Andrew chose Jesus Christ, his maternal grandfather Fred Bonner, his father David Verret, and Benjamin Franklin. His choices reflect the importance of family, faith, and learning from others.

For prospective BBP employees, Andrew encourages taking advantage of the opportunities available within the company. Having experienced personal and professional growth throughout his own time at BBP, he believes the company provides an environment where employees can continue developing their skills and building meaningful careers.

Through his commitment to customers, appreciation for teamwork, and genuine passion for connecting with people, Andrew continues to make a positive impact on BBP and the relationships he has built throughout Southwest Louisiana.
