Introducing Mark Lisenby, Inside Sales – Valves at BBP
Meet Mark Lisenby, a key member of BBP’s Inside Sales – Valves team, based in Birmingham, AL. A Birmingham native, Mark brings 30 years of experience in the valve industry, making him an invaluable asset to the team.
Mark thrives in his role because of the ever-changing challenges that come with it. No two days are the same, and he enjoys the dynamic nature of sourcing, quoting, and purchasing within the industry. “Most things don’t repeat often, which keeps it exciting,” he says. When reflecting on what makes him proud to work at BBP, Mark highlights the great people and the company’s strong leadership, describing BBP as progressive, innovative, and trustworthy.
Family plays a big role in Mark’s life. He is married with one child, and outside of work, he enjoys music—especially rock from the ’80s and ’90s. His life’s theme song? The Family Guy Theme—a nod to his sense of humor.
Something most people don’t know about Mark? His college baseball jersey is retired, a testament to his dedication and skill on the field. He carries that same drive into his career. His favorite quote reflects his witty personality:
“You know a lot of people go to college for 7 years… They’re called doctors.”
His personal mantra?
“If I’m not back in five minutes, just wait longer.”
If given the chance to share a meal with four legendary figures, Mark would invite Tiger Woods, Pete Rose, Joe Montana, and Mick Jagger—a table filled with sports greatness and rock ‘n’ roll history.
For those considering a career at BBP, Mark has straightforward advice:
“Keep up with all the changes in FreeForm.”
We’re proud to have Mark on the BBP team, bringing his expertise, adaptability, and humor to everything he does!
